Space art enthusiasts come and see art that reflects The Nature of Space! This year's Las Cruces Space Festival art show will be juried and featured at Gallery 925 from September 5 to 28, 2025. The gallery is at 925 N Mesquite St, Las Cruces, NM. Gallery hours are Friday: 1 pm - 5 pm, Saturday: 11 am - 5 pm, Sunday: 11 am - 5 pm or by appointment. Art by Noel Sandino.

Social time with coffee and goodies followed by a speaker on a topic of interest to the Parkinson's community. Caregivers as well as those diagnosed with Parkinson's are cordially invited.
September 2025 at the Deming Art Center will feature an exhibit of fiber arts, that could include paper, wood, leather, fiber clay and small fabric items (no quilts). There is a talented group of Fiber Artists in the area and we look forward to what they will bring to this exhibit.There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1-2:30PM. Weaving is super versatile and really fun! Join us to experience weaving on a wooden frame loom as we explore the variety of colors, designs, and textures of this popular fiber art. In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic stitches and create a modern wall hanging that will add some instant charm to your space. All supplies provided. Ages 16+
NMSU Department of Music presents a concert featuring performances by the Philharmonic Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Lyric Theatre, Wind Symphony, University Singers, Graduate Piano Studio and the PRIDE of New Mexico Marching Band. Free general admission and parking.
Drawing from the University Art Museum's extensive collection of over 2,200 Mexican retablos, Trinities of Heaven and Earth explores the spiritual and cultural importance of these sacred images. Retablos, small devotional paintings traditionally displayed in Mexican homes, served as vital expressions of Catholic faith and values within the household. The imagery of the Holy Family conveys blessings related to family life, while depictions of the Holy Trinity invoke divine guidance. Together, these themes explore the connection between sacred devotion and earthly life, bridging the divine and the domestic.
The exhibition will open on March 21, 2025, at 5:30 pm in the Margie and Bobby Rankin Retablo Gallery, and will be open until March 7, 2026.
Members of the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society invite members of the public to join them for an evening of community and swinging tunes on Sept. 21.
MVJBS’ monthly gathering and performance will feature the popular Mesilla Valley Swing Band at 6:30 p.m. at Alma D’Arte Charter High School. Audiences can plan on enjoying a mix of jazz charts, from standards to newer compositions.
The Mesilla Valley Swing Band consists of about 16 members from Las Cruces, Deming and El Paso and is led by longtime music educator Johnny Lang.
MVJBS members and members of the public are all welcome to attend the September gathering. Music will follow a short organization update provided by MVJBS President Carol Mertensmeyer. Entry is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Tickets are available for purchase at the door or ahead of time online at www.mvjazzblues.net.
