El Mariachi Manchester is a Los Angeles-based band that blends traditional Mexican Mariachi instrumentation—violin, trumpet, and guitarron—with the melancholic Brit-pop of Morrissey and The Smiths sound merges, or "mariachifies," popular melancholic rock tunes with passionate, upbeat, and often theatrical Mexican rhythms.

All proceeds go to paying the Performers and Supporting Live Music.

Ethan J. Perry is a Boulder-based Americana indie artist and will be performing live in Silver City, NM, at Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery on Sunday, 5/3, from 1-4 pm.

The Mesilla Valley chorale will present its Spring concert, "I Hear America Singing," including a selection of songs covering the nation's history from before the Civil War until the present. It includes "Shenandoah," "Look to the Rainbow," Take Me Home, Country Roads," : That Old Time Religion,: :Rick Around the Clock," and many more.

The United States has organized a military coalition of right-wing Latin American governments called Shield of the Americas that has designated Mexico as the epicenter of “narco-terrorism” with President Trump threatening military intervention to “dismantle the drug cartels.”

The heroic May 5, 1862 Battle of Puebla against French imperialism serves as an example to those in the United States who are currently fighting a growing authoritarian government that is daily restricting democratic rights, impeding economic opportunity and inclusion for all, and destroying cultural diversity through police-state tactics against black and brown populations and trying to erase the many civil rights gains by minorities and women.

Join El Chuco Habla on Tuesday evening May 5th at San Jacinto Plaza in downtown El Paso to listen to speakers and live music denounce the Trump administration's incessant threats of military intervention in Mexico.

Levi Platero is from the Navajo Nation of the Southwest region of the United States. In 2016 Platero won the New Mexico Music Awards for Best Blues.
Levi’s quiet nature is unleashed in a style that mixes a spectrum of Texas Blues, vintage rock, to modern guitar heroes such as Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. With a captivating live show he ranges from flurries of guitar acrobatics all the way down to soulful expressiveness. Levi is a guitarist and talent to be reckoned with and will continue to shine in the Blues/Rock genre.
