The Gila Native Plant Society is offering free docent-led tours of Silva Creek Botanical Garden every Saturday morning starting at 9 AM, August 15. Tours continue on Saturdays at 9 AM through October 31 (except September 12). All ages are welcome. Enjoy and learn about our beautiful native plant garden at State and Virginia Streets, Silver City. No reservations necessary.

In commemorating 250 years of America’s independence, please join us as the Bureau of Land Management New Mexico hosts the “Organ Mountains Jubilee” on October 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dripping Springs Natural Area of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument.

There will be a variety of events for all ages. The event will include guided hikes in the first-person actor persona. Come listen to Mr. Van Patton himself as he talks about the history of the Drippings Springs Natural Area. More than 25 outdoor recreational partners will be on hand to provide information about how you can enjoy your public lands. There will also be a ‘Kids Fun Zone’ as well as food truck vendors on site. Country Music Artist Chuck Wimer and his band will take the stage along with local Las Cruces heritage rock band, Flat Blak. 6th Annual 10×25 Creativity Conference Returns to Las Cruces.
Las Cruces, NM – The highly anticipated 10×25 Creativity Conference is set to make its return on October 23 – 24, 2026, at the newly opened Doña Ana Community College (DACC) Creative Media Technology building @ 2400 Film Street on NMSU’s Arrowhead Campus.
The 10×25 conference, now in its sixth year, continues its tradition of bringing together visionaries, educators, entrepreneurs, and creatives from across the region. This year’s theme, “Where Innovation and Creativity Meet,” encapsulates the spirit of collaboration and forward thinking that has become synonymous with the event.
