Light Art Space presents two new exhibitions from March 5th to 28th, 2026.The Public reception for both is on Friday, March 6th, from 5 - 7 pm.
In the North Gallery, Forms of Devotion is a juried exhibition featuring the work of 30 artists from Arizona and New Mexico. A variety of media will be displayed, including painting, drawing, clay, photography, fiber, and mixed media. Juried by Karen Hymer and Joan Roberts Garcia.
The Flash gallery presents Bagatelles, paintings, and drawings by Silver City artist, Mattoose. On Sunday, March 22nd, join us for a Q&A with the artist in front of his work.

World Math Day runs for 48 hours, starting on March 25 in Australia and on March 24 in most U.S. locations (due to time differences). It is the world’s largest online math competition, an international celebration of mathematics where 10 million students have answered more than 1 Billion questions. World Math Day is FREE for all and is hosted on the Mathletics platform. All registrants have free access to Mathletics starting on March 12: https://www.3plearning.com/world-Math-day. The 2026 theme, United by Numbers, celebrates the belief that everyone can learn and excel at mathematics when given the right support. Teachers and students need not be Mathletics users to participate.
the30something, a donor advised fund, annually gives away several $30,000 awards to local Grant county nonprofits. Over the past 7 years we have given $450,000 to help boost our community. We are now accepting applications on our website, www.the30something.org . The list of qualifications are listed on our website and the application is an easy process. The deadline for applications is April 1st, 2026.

Now in its third year, the workshop week, sponsored by the local group, The ten o'clock artists, offers again a wide variety of art classes including painting, print making, yoga and dance.
This year it spans over two whole weeks, March 16-29. The website has all the relevant information for everyone to get creative. All materials are provided. You only pay the course fee to explore a new hobby.

The March 2026 Exhibit at the Deming Art Center will feature beautiful quilt creations. On display will be bed-size quilts, along with wall hangings, and smaller quilted items. Many will be for sale. This year’s show is juried (not judged) due to space limitations and open to entries from the public at large.The exhibit will be up from March 3-30, 2026. There will be a time to meet the quilt artists on Sunday, March 8, from 1-2:30PM. The Deming Art Center is located at 100 S. Gold St., Deming, NM.
