SCRTD Launches New Magenta Route Connecting Las Cruces MVITT to the Butterfield Community Center
Las Cruces, NM, The South Central Regional Transit District (SCRTD) is expanding transit access in Doña Ana County with the launch of the new Magenta Route, beginning Monday, December 15, 2025.
The new service will connect the Mesilla Valley Intermodal Transit Terminal (MVITT) in downtown Las Cruces to the Butterfield Community Center, offering residents a reliable, affordable transportation option for work, school, medical appointments, and essential services.
“This new route strengthens regional connectivity and improves mobility for underserved communities,” said David Armijo, Executive Director of SCRTD. “The Magenta Route will give Butterfield residents dependable access to opportunities in Las Cruces while improving connections across our transit network.”
Magenta Route Highlights
