May 02 Saturday
Community members can bring broken household items for free repair at a Fix-It Fair on Saturday morning, May 2! At this event, skilled volunteers and Cruces Creatives team members will help folks fix their broken household items, including bicycles, jewelry, textiles, and small appliances. Carpentry and blade-sharpening are also available. The event and assistance are without charge.
The Fix-It Fair is made possible thanks to support from the Las Cruces Office of Sustainability.
The Really Really Free Market takes place every first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1701 Missouri Avenue in Las Cruces. It’s a community gathering built on solidarity, not charity — where everything is free. Bring what you can, take what you need, or just come hang out. There’s no buying, selling, or trading — just neighbors supporting neighbors. Along with free clothes, furniture, books, toys, and supplies, we also offer free bike repairs and so much more! For more information or to volunteer, email lascrucesrrfm@proton.me or call (575)528-8671. That’s the Really Really Free Market, because we have everything we need when we take care of each other.
The Las Cruces Really Really Free Market is back, hosted by a group of local volunteers who believe in mutual aid, community care, and resource sharing.
This isn’t a sale or a swap — it’s a free community event where anyone can give or take items like clothes, books, household goods, toys, and more. There’s no money, no bartering — just people helping each other out.
Join us the first Saturday of every month from 10am - 2pm at 1701 Missouri Ave (Peace Lutheran Church).
We do this because we believe our community already has enough — enough resources, enough support — if we just find ways to share it.
If you’d like to get involved, donate, or have questions, email us at lascrucesrrfm@proton.me

Cinco de Mayo: A Day of Struggle Against Imperialism in 1862 and 2026.
The United States has organized a military coalition of right-wing Latin American governments called Shield of the Americas that has designated Mexico as the epicenter of “narco-terrorism” with President Trump threatening military intervention to “dismantle the drug cartels.”
The heroic May 5, 1862 Battle of Puebla against French imperialism serves as an example to those in the United States who are currently fighting a growing authoritarian government that is daily restricting democratic rights, impeding economic opportunity and inclusion for all, and destroying cultural diversity through police-state tactics against black and brown populations and trying to erase the many civil rights gains by minorities and women.
Join El Chuco Habla on Tuesday evening May 5th at San Jacinto Plaza in downtown El Paso to listen to speakers and live music denounce the Trump administration's incessant threats of military intervention in Mexico.
Help us send a loud and clear message to Washington: Hands Off Mexico - No U.S. Military Intervention!
