DACC OFFERING BASIC COMPUTER COURSES
Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is offering introductory computer classes to the public. Registration for classes, Essential Computer Skills and Essential Software Skills, is now open. The classes are easy-paced courses to assist in building a foundation for computer skills. Courses also can assist job seekers who may lack the digital literacy skills needed to see, obtain, and retain employment and perform other daily life tasks.
Classes are $45 each and are as follows: Essential Computer Skills (Windows, basic computer skills, e-mail, internet)o February 5th – 8th o April 8th - 11tho June 3rd – 6tho September 9th – 12th
Essential Software Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, Google Docs) o February 19th – 22ndo April 22nd – 25tho June 17th – 20th o September 23rd – 26th

As members of the Bahá'í Faith, the Licata Brothers strive to blend the music of their heritage with more contemporary styles, while providing an uplifting message. Sponsored by Soroptimist International of Las Cruces, providing women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Soroptimists' Dream It, Be It program can help girls plan their future. Career Support for Girls provides professional role models, career education and the resources to live their dreams.
Students will learn about setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success, and managing stress; get tips on personal finance and professional etiquette. There will be door prizes, gifts and goody bags. Attendees will become eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship toward education or professional training after high school.

Monthly meeting for those living with hearing loss; that is, people experiencing the loss, their families, their co-workers, and their friends. Come to learn about advances in research and technology concerning hearing loss, to share techniques to adjust to changes in hearing, to hear invited experts speak, to learn about care for hearing aids and how to use a phone with hearing loss, to join advocacy efforts, and more. Our meetings are captioned so you can read as well as hear the program. Please join us and bring a friend, loved one, and/or coworker. A member association of the national HLAA.

The Tour de Optimism is a family-friendly bicycle ride open to all riders. The ride has two different courses a 50K and a 100K, with 3 break stations. Also a shorter course for family fun riders. All proceeds support local Optimist Club youth projects.
