The annual Luna County Fine Arts & Crafts Show will be presented as the May 2026 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. Featured will be local artists and crafters from Luna County. It showcases many different mediums including painting, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry and more. Anyone living in Luna County is eligible to participate with up to 3 items. The exhibit will be up from May 2-29, 2026 (closed Memorial Day). There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 1PM- 2:30PM. The Deming Art Center is located at 100 S. Gold and regular hours are Mon-Fri 10AM-4PM and Saturday from 10AM – 1PM. Please call 575-546-3663, check our website at www.demingarts.org or our FB page for more information. This project is supported in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.

These classes are for those people who can be helped with extending a healthy diet using common pantry items. Also learning from each other.

Do you have Parkinson’s Disease or care for someone who does?

Join this group meeting for people in our community who have been recently diagnosed with, or care for persons with, Parkinson’s Disease.
The meeting is designed to answer questions about meds, doctors, symptoms etc. All members are invited to come, especially the long timers, as they have experience and wisdom to share.

Monthly Support Group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Inn Express - Conference Room (2142 Telshor Court, Las Cruces, NM)

Social Time: 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Meeting /Guest Speaker: 9:45 a.m.– 11:45 a.m.

Carlos Melendres, Author and Activist, is the great, great grandson of Pablo Melendres, who founded the City of Las Cruces in 1849. His Book “I Know Where the Bodies Are Buried: There Are Stories to Tell, Questions to Ask. True Exciting Stories of Southern New Mexico’s Early History!, Unsung Tales of the Funding Family of Las Cruces” is a chronicle of that story.
