April 2026 at the Deming Art Center will feature the wonderful designs and innovative creations of the Deming High School art students. It is always exciting to see what they have created, and we invite the community to support these young artists by stopping by to see for yourselves. The exhibit will be up from April 2 – 29, 2026. There will be a time to meet these talented student artists on Sunday, April 5, 2026, from 1-2:30PM at the Deming Art Center which is located at 100 S. Gold St., Deming, NM. The gallery hours are 10AM – 4PM Monday – Friday and 10AM – 1PM on Saturday. Explore amazing museums, animal exhibits, and science laboratories, while enjoying fun, hands-on activities at the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) Open House.
Visitors should start at the “Welcome” tent at 940 College Drive – the front yard of Gerald Thomas Hall.

April showers bring typewriters for hours! Over a dozen vintage typewriters will be available for you to try out. Rediscover, or discover for the first time, the pleasure of pressing down on a mechanical key and hearing the satisfying "snap" of the type slug imprinting your thoughts on paper. It's an analog off-ramp from the stresses of the digital highway of surveillance capitalism. Join the typewriter revolution! Or just sit down and type something for yourself or someone you love. "Revived" vintage manual typewriters will be available for purchase at the event.

Join Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) Safe Routes to School for a fun and family-friendly Bike Fiesta! This exciting community event encourages children and families to enjoy biking while learning important safety skills in a supportive and festive environment.
The event will take place on April 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lynn Community Middle School.
