The annual Luna County Fine Arts & Crafts Show will be presented as the May 2026 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. Featured will be local artists and crafters from Luna County. It showcases many different mediums including painting, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry and more. Anyone living in Luna County is eligible to participate with up to 3 items. The exhibit will be up from May 2-29, 2026 (closed Memorial Day). There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 1PM- 2:30PM. The Deming Art Center is located at 100 S. Gold and regular hours are Mon-Fri 10AM-4PM and Saturday from 10AM – 1PM. Please call 575-546-3663, check our website at www.demingarts.org or our FB page for more information. The University Art Museum proudly presents Where We Ended Up: 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibition, featuring artworks by NMSU Department of Art MFA Candidates, Arch Jones and Ezekiel Martey. This exhibition opens on May 1, 2026, with an opening reception from 5:30 - 7:30 pm and will be on display through May 16, 2026. This two-person exhibition showcases the culmination of both artists’ individual research and development during their time in the Department of Art’s graduate program. Where We Ended Up: 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibition features a variety of media and processes from ceramics and paintings, to found objects and immersive installation.

These classes are for those people who can be helped with extending a healthy diet using common pantry items. Also learning from each other.

Ethan J. Perry is a Boulder-based Americana indie artist and will be performing live in Silver City, NM, at Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery on Sunday, 5/3, from 1-4 pm.

The Mesilla Valley chorale will present its Spring concert, "I Hear America Singing," including a selection of songs covering the nation's history from before the Civil War until the present. It includes "Shenandoah," "Look to the Rainbow," Take Me Home, Country Roads," : That Old Time Religion,: :Rick Around the Clock," and many more.
