Robert Palacios

KRWG-FM Operations Manager

Robert Palacios was KRWG-FM’s Operations Manager and the host of KRWG-TV’s “Fronteras-A Changing America.”

Robert, a Las Cruces native, is the Executive Director of the Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference and New Mexico Advocates for the Arts, Founder of VolunteerLasCruces and a New Mexico Army National Guard Veteran. Robert graduated from Mayfield High School in 2008. After high school, he was accepted to the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ where he would complete their Master Recording Program. Robert moved back to Las Cruces where he pursued a degree in Music Business at New Mexico State University. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Las Cruces Class of 2016.

Robert has a strong passion for radio and music which shows through his past 11 years in broadcast radio and through the Las Cruces Mariachi Conservatory. The past 2 years, Robert has been hard at work breathing new life in to a long-served tradition in our community, the Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference. If that was not enough, Robert began an initiative in March of 2016 called VolunteerLasCruces, in which he hopes to help provide a direct connection of volunteers to organizations and community projects in our area.

In his free time, Robert enjoys off-roading in his ‘76 CJ5 Jeep, hanging out with his dogs Jax and Gunner, and playing his guitar. You can find Robert at ribbon cutting and groundbreaking events with the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce’s Conquistadores and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Amigos. If he could share his key to success with other young professionals, it would be to never stop educating yourself, stay active in your community and always take chances.
