Las Cruces artist Mary Beagle is the featured artist for September and October at the Tombaugh Gallery. The opening reception is First Friday, September 5, 5 to 7pm featuring live music by Yolanda Martinez and Karuna Warren. Mary works with oil on canvas and her paintings reflect her love of native and Latino cultures and celebrations. Mary and her husband, David, have travelled to Native American gatherings throughout the country. Working as a team, Mary paints all her work and David does all her custom framing. The exhibit includes several sculptures made by Mary in Limestone, Alabaster and Marble.
New Mexico’s Mutual UFO Network Alamogordo Chapter meets at Otero Artspace on 12th & Indian AVE at 11am on the 3rd Saturday of the month. We discuss Flying Saucers and our local aerial phenomenon experiences. Join MUFON for Coffee Cups & Flying Saucers a meeting of like-minded individuals with a common interest in sharing what we see in the skies. This free monthly meeting is open to the public, MUFON membership is not required.
Las Cruces Space Festival Student Show presents posters made by students from Columbia and Sunrise Elementary Schools plus a few additions. This exhibition runs from Sept 5-28, 2025 at Duende Arte Gallery located at 921 N. Mesquite St in Las Cruces, NM. Artwork by Miguel Perez, this year's winner.
Monthly meeting for those living with hearing loss; that is, people experiencing the loss, their families, their co-workers, and their friends. Come to learn about advances in research and technology concerning hearing loss, to share techniques to adjust to changes in hearing, to hear invited experts speak, to learn about care for hearing aids and how to use a phone with hearing loss, to join advocacy efforts, and more. Our meetings are captioned so you can read as well as hear the program. Please join us and bring a friend, loved one, and/or coworker. A member association of the national HLAA.
A 14-week course on the basic attributes of human consciousness, using the Major Arcana of Tarot as a learning tool. This course is not about reading tarot cards or fortune telling. It is about the practical application of attributes you already have. This is a very positive, inspirational, and spiritually oriented course, taken from the Jewish Kabbalah and Hermetic philosophy. Drawing from the University Art Museum's extensive collection of over 2,200 Mexican retablos, Trinities of Heaven and Earth explores the spiritual and cultural importance of these sacred images. Retablos, small devotional paintings traditionally displayed in Mexican homes, served as vital expressions of Catholic faith and values within the household. The imagery of the Holy Family conveys blessings related to family life, while depictions of the Holy Trinity invoke divine guidance. Together, these themes explore the connection between sacred devotion and earthly life, bridging the divine and the domestic.
The exhibition will open on March 21, 2025, at 5:30 pm in the Margie and Bobby Rankin Retablo Gallery, and will be open until March 7, 2026.

Space art enthusiasts come and see art that reflects The Nature of Space! This year's Las Cruces Space Festival art show will be juried and featured at Gallery 925 from September 5 to 28, 2025. The gallery is at 925 N Mesquite St, Las Cruces, NM. Gallery hours are Friday: 1 pm - 5 pm, Saturday: 11 am - 5 pm, Sunday: 11 am - 5 pm or by appointment. Art by Noel Sandino.

Social time with coffee and goodies followed by a speaker on a topic of interest to the Parkinson's community. Caregivers as well as those diagnosed with Parkinson's are cordially invited.
September 2025 at the Deming Art Center will feature an exhibit of fiber arts, that could include paper, wood, leather, fiber clay and small fabric items (no quilts). There is a talented group of Fiber Artists in the area and we look forward to what they will bring to this exhibit.There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1-2:30PM.
