Doña Ana County - Emergency Rental Assistance Program Funds Still Available

Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES a la comunidad, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra spoke with Doña Ana County Community Outreach liaison, Emma Johnson-Ortiz, about the U.S. Treasury Department’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) to help residents across the county affected by COVID-19 who are struggling to pay rent and utility bills. The money is available for residents living in unincorporated areas and residents of Las Cruces, Sunland Park, Mesilla, Hatch and Anthony, NM by just filling out an application.

Johnson-Ortiz says the county continues to accept applications online from both tenants and landlords at their website – donaanacounty.org/rent-utilities-assistance. The direct line to determine eligibility and speak to the ERAP staff is (575)525-5898. Also available to help are Alysha Morales and Elizabeth Reed.
