Rattlesnakes of the Chihuahuan Desert
Ranger Mike will be giving a talk on rattle snakes found here in the higher Chihuahuan desert. This talk will include what to do if you encounter these misunderstood reptiles as well as what to do in an emergency situation. A crafts station will also be provided where kids and even adults can make their own ringed paper snakes. Did you know that a western diamondback rattle snake can strike up to two-thirds its body length? Admission $5/adult. Free for children 16 and under. Please call 575-526-8911 for more information.
