Cheers to Family Fun: Raise Your Glass for Play – Vamos Niños Hosts First-Ever Community FUNdraiser at Dry Point Distillers
In partnership with locally owned Dry Point Distillers, the event will feature hands-on children’s activities, live music by Mesilla Midnight, and meaningful community connection.
Guests can explore interactive exhibits, while adults 21 and over may purchase locally crafted beverages. With 50% of the bar sales donated to support programming for the Vamos Niños—Play to Learn mobile children’s museum, every drink helps fuel hands-on learning across Doña Ana County. Signature cocktails and mocktails will be available.
“This is about community coming together in a joyful way,” said Chris Schaefer, owner of Dry Point Distillers. “When local businesses invest in children, everyone benefits. We’re proud to turn a simple afternoon into meaningful support for early learning in Doña Ana County.”
“Education is often treated as something that happens only inside classrooms. Community is often the missing piece in that story,” said Sommer Mitchell, Director of Communications and Narrative Strategy with Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico. “Partners like Dry Point are helping shift that narrative by showing that businesses, neighbors, and families all have a role to play. Education is a shared responsibility, and this is what that looks like in action.”
