A rock slide on Highway 82 in January of 2023 caused the closure of the road while crews worked to clear the debris. Now, they are conducting rock scaling operations in hopes of preventing such an event.

Rock scaling on Highway 82 to Cloudcroft expected to cause delays, state senators visit the Otero Processing Center, and mobile telehealth expected to serve families in Alamogordo soon.
