Fire Damages Newly Constructed Home In Las Cruces

  Las Cruces Firefighters were dispatched to a fire at 9:35 a.m., June 22, on the 6100 block of Andromeda Loop. Upon arrival, firefighters could see black smoke rising from the home. They were able to bring the fire under control within a few minutes.

A construction worker in the area reported the fire. Residents had not yet moved into the home. Las Cruces Fire Department (LCFD) responded with 22 personnel, 1 unit from AMR and 3 units from LCPD. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
