Bernalillo County, NM – On June 4, 2021, at approximately 9:12 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a single vehicle fatal rollover crash on Interstate 25 near mile post 212, north of Los Lunas, NM. Here is a statement from NM State Police:
The initial investigation indicates a 1992 Honda passenger car, driven by Richard Edward Gordon (57) of Edgewood, NM, was traveling south on Interstate 25. For reasons unknown, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and rolled. Gordon was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator.
Seatbelts appear to have not been properly utilized by the driver. This crash remains under investigation by the New Mexico State Police.
