City of Las Cruces Streets Management is continuing annual maintenance of the Las Cruces Dam, in coordination with the Army Corps of Engineers. The dam’s closure will continue for two more weeks. This schedule is subject to change.
Areas affected include:
- The dam's parking lot at Lohman Avenue.
- The parking lot on Northrise Drive, at the former Tee Time facility.
- The crest of the dam.
- The East and West maintenance roads along the dam.
To ensure the public’s safety, the dam’s crest and the maintenance roads on the east and west side of the dam will be closed for the duration of the project. The paved walking path on the east side of the dam remains open to the public.
