Local Movement Underway To Honor Late Educator Who Worked To Preserve African American History

In Las Cruces, there is a local movement underway to honor late educator Clarence Fielder. Fielder was a long-time educator in Las Cruces and worked to preserve African American history in the community. He passed away in 2015 at the age of 87. KRWG News spoked wtih Dr. Beth O'Leary, Professor Emerita in the Department of Anthropology at NMSU to learn more about the impact Fielder had on the community of Las Cruces and why a local effort is underway to honor him.
