Firefighters with the Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services brought a residential fire at the 4800 block of South Main Street under control, by 10:06 a.m.
A single wide mobile home at the Summer Winds Mobile Home Park was reported on fire at 9:37 a.m. and was completely destroyed. An adjacent mobile home was also damaged.
No injuries were reported to residents or firefighters. At least one injured pet was rescued and turned over to the County’s Animal Control Officers.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The twenty-seven firefighter crew included Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services, Las Cruces and Mesilla Fire Departments.
