Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the suspect or suspects responsible for breaking several windows on the new gymnasium at Sierra Middle School.
Since February, nine double-pane windows on the east side of the new gym have been busted. It appears that rocks were used to break the windows.
School officials reported one window broken in February, two more windows damaged during the week of Spring Break (March 19-25) and six windows busted during the overnight hours of April 3-4.
It’s estimated that damage to the windows exceeds $2,600.
Anyone with information that can help identify the suspect or suspects responsible for breaking the windows is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip by text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
