LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Today, District Attorney Mark D’Antonio announced a grand jury has indicted a New Mexico man for allegedly embezzling money from a T-ball team in Anthony.
Moises Martinez, 40, was indicted on one count of embezzlement (over $500), a fourth-degree felony.
According to the criminal complaint, the defendant collected money for registration fees and uniforms but did not produce the items as promised.
If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 18 months in prison.
