New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez's representative in Washington has quit, and it's unclear if he will be replaced.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that former state legislator Brian Moore has quit his $115,000-a-year job to move back to New Mexico. And the governor' s office has not renewed the lease on office space he was using.
A Martinez spokesman says staff in New Mexico will continue Moore's work. He said the state has no physical office in DC "for the time being" and no replacement has been named.
Former Gov. Bill Richardson established the state's Washington office in 2003 to work with Congress and other federal agencies.
