FBI Still Looking For Clues In NM Sex Torture Case

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Authorities are trying to locate an Australian man for information about a woman who may have been a victim of a convicted sex torturer and suspected serial killer.

FBI officials in Albuquerque said Monday that Australian Federal Police are attempting to find a man known only as "Mark" who may be able to provide the last name of a woman known only as "Connie."

Authorities say "Connie" is believed to have disappeared in New Mexico around 1995.

The FBI, New Mexico State Police and Albuquerque police suspect David Parker Ray may have abducted up to 40 women from several states and possibly killed an unknown number of them.

No bodies have ever been found and authorities say Ray was never charged with murder. He died in state prison in 2002.
