New Mexico – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRWG) Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be in Albuquerque Thursday to host a White House Business Council Roundtable and promote President Obama's American Jobs Act.
Vilsack will hold a press conference and meet with local producers and business leaders to discuss job creation and increasing private investment in rural America. He will also discuss Obama Administration efforts to expand payroll tax cuts for the middle class.
Vilsack made a similar visit to Las Vegas, Nevada, Wednesday. After his stop there, Republican National Committee spokesman Ryan Mahoney criticized the Obama administration for "campaigning ... on the taxpayers' dime."
New Mexico and Nevada are both considered swing states in next year's presidential election.
