Body Identified As Missing Hatch Man

Las Cruces – A body found earlier this month in Rodey, New Mexico has been identified as a missing Hatch man.

On April 8, an unidentified decomposed body was located under heavy brush and mesquite bushes about fifty feet behind the address of 304 Benino Torres in Rodey NM by several children.

The body was sent to OMI in Albuquerque and was positively identified through medical records as Henry Apodaca.

Apodaca of 304 Benino Torres in Rodey NM went missing on 10-28-10 and was entered as a missing person on that date.

After autopsy, it was learned that no injuries or trauma were located on the body that could of contributed to his death however drug paraphernalia was located with the body. The body was transported to Baca's Funeral Home on 04-15-11 and Apodaca was removed from NCIC as a missing person.

Cause and Manner of death is still undetermined at this time pending the toxicology report.
