Three Men Charged In Las Cruces Theft

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – The Las Cruces Police have charged three men for their involvement in Wednesday morning's theft of beer from a Pic Quik convenience store.

Nathan Arnold, 18, and 19-year-olds William Weldon Bruce and Allen Otto each face one count of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Bruce is the one who physically stole the beer from the store and faces one count of shoplifting while Arnold - the driver of the getaway vehicle - is charged with careless driving, having an open container of alcohol, and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

At 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, Las Cruces Police were called to the Pic Quik at 3811 E. Lohman Ave. after a young man took two 12-packs of beer without paying. The suspect left the store and got into a red Jeep Cherokee that headed north on Roadrunner Parkway at a high rate of speed.

Las Cruces Police located the vehicle, and its occupants, at the Copperstone Apartments on north Roadrunner Parkway.
