The following areas will experience a water outage Thursday, November 19, 2020, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.:
Businesses along University Ave. between the intersections of Locust St. and Triviz Dr.
Residents and businesses along Triviz Dr. between University Ave. and 2060 Triviz Dr. (The Pavilions at South Fork Apartments).
Residents and businesses along Wisconsin between Locust St. and Triviz Dr.
Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, a door hanger notice will be posted a minimum of 24-hours in advance.
Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the city recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all cold-water faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities Dispatch at 526-0500 for assistance.
