UPDATE: NMSU’s Juniper Hall to open in time for students on Friday

Despite a series of construction delays, New Mexico State University’s newest residence center, Juniper Hall, will open in time for move-in day Friday, Aug. 16 and the beginning of the fall 2019 semester. Students can expect to see workers on-site for the next few weeks as finishing touches are completed.

“We’re excited to let everyone know Juniper Hall will be ready for students to move in this weekend,” said NMSU President John Floros. “The building is safe, secure and the finishing touches are ongoing in preparation for the arrival of our students. All portions of the interior of the building are essentially complete, however, as with any new building, some areas will require touch-up. We thank everyone for their patience during the construction process.”

This afternoon, the university began notifying students that the facility would be open and ready for business. Areas of the building that still require finishing touches include common spaces such as classrooms, the main lobby and exterior landscaping.
