Trinity Site Open House Cancelled

The Trinity Site Open House scheduled for April 4, 2020, at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) has
been canceled due to health concerns related to the pandemic coronavirus that has now spread to New Mexico.

The decision was made by WSMR Commander Col. David Trybula as a precautionary measure to protect an expected turnout of more than 5,000
participants from throughout the United States and overseas, as well as the employees and volunteers supporting the event.
"The Trinity Site Open Houses are an important part of our WSMR heritage
that we are honored to share with an enthusiastic public. We know how much
this means to so many people to visit the open houses, and it is with deep
regret to cancel the event." said Trybula.

The decision to cancel the open house follows the recommendation from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to cancel gatherings of 250
participants or more in locations where there is minimal to moderate threat
of the virus spreading.

The next Trinity Site Open House is scheduled to occur on Oct. 3, 2020.
