SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Santa Fe police say a 22-year-old man has been arrested in a double-shooting that left one man dead at a commuter rail station.
Police said Wednesday that Matthew Arellano was arrested Tuesday evening on charges of murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Police previously identified the man who died after being shot and also stabbed as 24-year-old David Hernandez.
The identity of a 38-year-old man who was shot and critically wounded was not released.Arellano remained jailed Wednesday and online court records didn’t indicate he had a defense attorney who might comment on his behalf.
