A federal extension this month is helping provide maximum benefits for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program for New Mexicans facing food insecurity. Karmela Martinez, Director of the Income Services Division with the Human Services Department of New Mexico says the state saw a rise in SNAP requests in March and April.
