Patti Wojahn

Mesilla, NM – Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park is resuming operations as a New Mexico State Park effective Monday, June 24, 2019.  Park offerings will include access to the hiking trails throughout the park as well as the visitor center complex.

“We are very pleased to have transitioned Mesilla Valley Bosque back into the fold of the State Park system,” said Cabinet Secretary, Sarah Cottrell Propst of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department.  “Our Department truly appreciates the support and enthusiasm of the local community and local leaders in making this happen.”

Future offerings in the fall will include access to the event space within the visitor center complex for weddings and special events.  In addition, State Parks will be recruiting for a full-time educator at the park and partnering with non-profits and other organizations to increase educational programming and provide outdoor classroom opportunities.

Park hours will be from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM daily and the regular day-use fee of $5 per vehicle will apply starting on June 24.  For questions, contact the park at 575-523-4398.
