Las Cruces Rollover Crash Injures Driver of Cement Mixer Truck

The driver of a cement mixer truck was injured and transported to a local hospital Thursday morning after his vehicle rolled near Sonoma Ranch Boulevard.

The single-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at the intersection of Garden Sage Way and Sage Springs Drive. Las Cruces firefighters and an American Medical Response crew tended to the driver who was transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Preliminary information from the investigation indicates the cement mixer truck was traveling east on Garden Sage Way and turned right, or south, onto Sage Springs Drive when it rolled onto its side. The mixer had a load of wet cement at the time of the rollover.

Las Cruces police anticipate the intersection of Garden Sage and Sage Springs to be closed for a portion of the Thursday until the on-scene investigation is complete, and the cement mixer truck is removed.
