Haley Halvorsen, Centennial High School

KRWG Public Media features interviews with the Las Cruces Mayor's Top Teens in between programs on KRWG-TV.  KRWG is also featuring Top Teens on its website.

Haley has been involved with 4-H for nine years and now participates in FFA. While in 4-H, she qualified to participate in district and state competitions.  Having been an active member of the Centennial FFA Chapter for the last three years has led to many opportunities. She has served as the chapter Historian and will be serving as President for the 2019-2020 school year.  She will be receiving her State FFA Degree at the State convention in June, which is the highest award a student can receive at the state level.  She is also getting a Veterinary Technician certification, which will be completed next school year.

Aside from 4-H and church attendance, Haley has been very active in high school.  She is in student government and has taken many classes in the Family and Consumer Science pathway.  She has also taken classes in the Agriculture pathway, where she has raised rabbits to show at the county and state fairs.
