The Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a fire that damaged a portion of Nessa’s Café late Saturday evening.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, Las Cruces firefighters were dispatched to a fire at Nessa’s Café, 901 W. Picacho Ave. First-arriving crews could see smoke showing from the windows and a gable vent.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and contained it to the area of the stove in the restaurant’s kitchen. The building received some smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
