DPNM Launches Absentee Voting Phone Bank

Democratic Party of New Mexico Chair Marg Elliston has kicked off a volunteer effort to contact voters around New Mexico and encourage them to vote absentee in New Mexico’s June primary. Here is a statement from the DPNM:

More than forty volunteers attended the kickoff event and a short training on how to phone bank from home.

The phone banking effort is in coordination with Democratic county and ward organizations that are currently calling local Democrats and encouraging them to vote absentee this June. DPNM hopes to reach thousands of voters over the next few weeks through state, county, and ward-level efforts.

“It’s great to see so many Democrats fired up about helping people vote safely during these unprecedented times,” said DPNM Chair Marg Elliston. “We need to make sure as many people as possible are voting from home this year to keep our communities safe and healthy. As we do everything possible to slow the spread of COVID-19, we’re facing challenges that we’ve never seen before. But no matter what obstacles are in our way, Democrats are ready to make our voices heard in 2020!”

DPNM encourages all voters to update their voter registration and request an absentee ballot online before our June primary.
