Detectives Search For Alleged Las Cruces Area Credit Card Thief

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a woman believed to be using a stolen credit card.

On Oct. 19, two women told detectives they had been at Dripping Springs on a hike. When they returned to their vehicle, they noticed it had been burglarized and their purses had been stolen.

Later that day, one of the victim’s credit cards was used at a convenience store on Porter Drive and again at a grocery store on North Main Street in Las Cruces. Video obtained from both locations shows the same woman appearing to be using the stolen card to make purchases. Detectives believe the suspect was driving a blue SUV, which was also captured on video.

Anyone with information on the suspect seen in the photos is asked to call the case agent at (575) 525-8879.

Tips can also be made to Las Cruces Doña Ana County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online via www.nmcrimestoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers app, which can be downloaded by searching ‘P3 Tips’. Callers will remain anonymous. Information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for up to a $1,000 cash reward.
