At an emergency meeting Friday, Aug. 13, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution to request that Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham declare a state of emergency in Doña Ana County, due to flooding caused by severe weather events.
Anthony Elementary School, 600 N. Fourth Street in Anthony is offering shelter to people whose homes were destroyed or damaged by the flood.
