2nd Annual Research and Creativity Week (RCW) at NMSU

Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES a la comunidad, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra spoke with New Mexico State University Research Council (URC) Chair, Dr. Tanner Schaub, about NMSU’s Second Annual Research and Creativity Week (RCW), November 10-13, 2020, this year co-hosted by Graduate Research and Arts Symposium 2020. Because of Covid-19, it will be totally Virtual.  He says it “is a celebration of creative scholarly activity at NMSU.”

Vice President for research and Dean of the graduate school, Dr. Luis Cifuentes, says that “showcasing research and creative activity enhances and communicates the value of student and faculty work, and opens up professional opportunities.”

Research and Creativity Week will include keynote addresses, highlight talks from Regents Professors and University Research Council awardees, talks and posters from faculty, staff and students, short performances and musical events, presentations of film, theatre and the arts, and media installations, along with career development discussions for faculty and students. A special virtual presentation by performer and social activist, Judy Collins, and NMSU professor of music, Jim Shearer, will be held on Tuesday, November 10th at 7 p.m. The community, faculty, staff, and students (undergrad and graduate) are invited to participate.
