KC Counts
Operations Manager, KRWG-FMKC Counts has been broadcasting to Southern New Mexico and West Texas audiences for 30 years.
She was born and raised in El Paso and graduated from Burges High School. From there, she went to Eastern New Mexico University in Portales where she began her radio career as a part-time board operator on weekends at KSEL.
After returning to El Paso, she worked her way to a morning show where she would team up with her long-time broadcast partner, Mike McKay. The two spent the better part of 18 years on the air together including at KVLC in Las Cruces.
KC is up early with listeners for "Morning Edition" weekdays, "Performance Today" from 9-11, "Here and Now" from 12-2, and on Saturdays. She has also enjoyed hosting "Newsmakers" on KRWG-TV and "Voice of the Public" on KRWG-FM.

All I-10 eastbound lanes into Texas will be closed starting at 1 p.m. (February 22) due to road work. The closure will be in place at Vinton, traffic will have to use exit 2 as a detour. The closure is expected to be lifted at 10 p.m. today.
