According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 3,700 sleep-related infant deaths occurred in the U.S. in 2022. The New Mexico Department of Health’s new “Safe Sleep” campaign aims to reduce the risk of sudden unexpected infant death and other sleep-related infant fatalities. Scott Brocato spoke with Dr. Miranda Durham, Chief Medical Officer with the NMDOH, about the campaign.
