Candidates Announced for 2021 Las Cruces City Council Elections

  The list of candidates has been determined for the City of Las Cruces 2021 City Council elections.

Municipal elections will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021. The deadline for City residents not already registered to vote is October 5.

Early voting and in-person absentee voting will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, from October 5 until October 29, at the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Boulevard.

Early voting at Las Cruces City Hall will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16 and will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday until October 30. Registered voters living in those City Council districts will be able to cast their ballot for the person who will be their elected representative on the Council.

Ranked Choice Voting will be utilized only for the City Council District 5 election to determine who will be elected since that election has four candidates. All terms on City Council are for four years.
