Las Cruces police are asking for the public’s help identifying the young men suspected of breaking into multiple vehicles in the Settlers Bend and Rinconada neighborhoods.
Over the last two weeks, police have learned of several vehicles that were targeted because of unlocked doors. The suspects, believed to be four teenage boys or young men, have been seen walking through the neighborhoods and checking for unlocked doors.
Once in the vehicle, the suspects rummage through and steal items of value.
Video from one of the incidents should serve as a reminder to keep windows closed and doors locked when parking or leaving a vehicle attended.
