Music Lineup Announced for Las Cruces Corks & Kegs Festival

  LAS CRUCES, NM – Music is a huge part of the local festival scene, and the all-new Las Cruces Corks & Kegs Wine and Beer Festival is bringing a great lineup to the area on Labor Day Weekend, including hit country recording artists Emerson Drive on Sunday, September 4. The three-day event takes place from the evening of Friday, September 2 through Sunday evening, September 4 at the Burn Lake Soccer Fields in west Las Cruces.

Friday, September 2, 2016 – Gates Open at 5 p.m.

5:00 pm               DJ Michael Aitch – Jam Down Sound Productions – One the area’s most popular DJs will power the evening with great music!

 

Saturday, September 3, 2016 – Gates Open at 3 p.m.

3:00 pm               Caliente Band – An amazing fusion of Flamenco, Rumba, Pop, and Brazilian Jazz that’s enjoyed by generations of fans!

 

6:00 pm               Derrick Harris Band  – Powerful, guitar-driven music with a whole lot of soul!

 

Sunday September 4, 2016 – Gates Open 3 p.m.

3:00 pm               Border Avenue – Local-favorite, true honky-tonk heroes that walk a crowd-pleasing line between rock and country!

 

6:00 pm               Emerson Drive – Playing their top country radio hits along with new favorites from the KTSM-TV Stage!

General admission includes all live music, including Emerson Drive. A Canadian country music band, Emerson Drive has a string of hit recordings including the Grammy-nominated “Moments,” and was also nominated as the Top Vocal Group by the Academy of Country Music.

The Las Cruces Corks & Kegs wine and beer festival introduces a new approach to the Labor Day festival scene. Corks & Kegs kicks off on Friday, September 2 at 5 p.m., with tasty treats, free wine and beer samples, and craft vendors all evening until 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday will start at 3 p.m. and keep going until 9 p.m. so that visitors can enjoy the cool evening air on the grassy fields and under the shade trees at Burn Lake Soccer Fields.

Admission is $20 at the gate or just $15 (plus fees) in advance online. Admission includes samples and all the live music. Tickets are available online at www.LasCrucesCorksAndKegs.com. Adult admission for age 21 and over includes a souvenir wine or beer tumbler. Under 21 is free with a parent or legal guardian. All guests must have a valid photo ID, regardless of age. Designated Drivers pay just $10 and receive a free bottle of water.
