NMSU Regents Approve Repairs For Jett Hall

The New Mexico State University Board of Regents has approved spending $1.2 million to repair fire damage at Jett Hall.

The March 30 fire caused considerable damage in the hall's west wing, affecting a number of classrooms, labs and offices.

Because the construction and repairs will cost more than $300,000, they require approval from the regents, the New Mexico Higher Education Department and the state's Board of Finance. The project is scheduled to be voted on by the other entities later this month.

The university hopes to have some of the repairs completed before classes begin again in the fall.
