No Powerball tickets purchased in Texas won the $587.5 million jackpot but four of those tickets are worth $1 million each.
The Texas Lottery Commission on Thursday announced tickets bought in Humble, Dallas, San Antonio and Houston are $1 million winners. Those $2 tickets matched five numbers drawn Wednesday night, but not the Powerball.
Two tickets — one bought in Arizona and another in Missouri — matched all five numbers plus the Powerball. Those numbers are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29. The Powerball is 6.
Lottery spokeswoman Kelly Cripe says Powerball tickets in Texas sold at a peak rate of nearly $75,000 worth per minute leading up to Wednesday night's drawing. Texas Powerball sales totaled nearly $75 million.
