Las Cruces, NM – On Monday, August 16, 2004, LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tennessee, announced it would acquire Province Healthcare, also of Brentwood, for 1.7 billion dollars. This impending transaction has led a local citizens' watchdog group to voice its concerns. Bob Mitchell reports.
