Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES a la comunidad, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra spoke with Las Cruces Public Schools Public Information Officer, Kelly Jameson, about solutions for a shortage of substitute and permanent teachers in the district. A four-part plan is being created to address these shortages by compensating teachers, proactively identifying substitutes, pooling additional resources, and providing opportunities for long-term subs.
